Description[]

Emmet Egon Ellis is one of the six main characters in the game 60 Parsecs!. When scavenging, he has the usual four inventory slots, and has 25 seconds to explore the area (the longest for any character). If not chosen in scavenging mode, he takes up two inventory slots and can be seen trapped in a tangle of wires.

Message at the ending[]

At the ending, a message about each character will be displayed. The message depends on the morale of the character and whether he is alive or dead.

(Morale, Life or death situation)

(Friend, Survived) Emmet began the journey as Captain [Captain's Name]’s science officer, and finished it as his/her closest friend. Some say you only know who your true friends are after you’ve eaten a barrel of soup with them. That’s most definitely what happened here.

(Neutral, Survived) As Captain [Captain's Name]’s science officer, Emmet witnessed more wonders of the universe than he thought possible. When the mission was over, Emmet left to pursue his own goals, mumbling something about ["dissecting giant space squids" Or "black holes and revelations" Or "cybernetic body enhancements"].

(Enemy, Survived) Driven by his distaste for Captain [Captain's Name], Emmet devoted his brilliant mind to besting his adversary. Having reinvented himself as Teddy’s arch-nemesis, he made sure his ex-captain was pranked constantly, until the end of his/her days.

(Soulmate, Dead) Emmet’s adventure was shorter than he would have hoped for, but he got to witness more miracles of the universe than he thought possible. All of them paled in comparison to the second greatest wonder of all, though - the love that blossomed between himself and Captain [Captain's Name]. The first one was of course a life-long diet of canned tomato soup.

(Friend, Dead) Emmet’s adventure was shorter than he would have hoped for, but by the time he made his unfortunate exit, he witnessed more wonders of the universe than he thought possible. Like, three of them.

(Neutral, Dead) Emmet’s time in space was shorter than he would have hoped for, but by the time he made his unfortunate exit, he witnessed more wonders of the universe than he thought possible. To be honest, even on Earth, he had already wished for his body to be ejected into space after his death.

(Enemy, Dead) Emmet’s adventure was shorter than he would have hoped for, but by the time he made his unfortunate exit, he witnessed more wonders of the universe than he thought possible. His only regret was having to be part of Captain [Captain's Name]’s crew. That was a real bummer for him.

Appearance[]

Emmet is African-American. He has curly brown hair, a thin body shape, wears white shield glasses, and has an orange astronaut suit with yellow gloves and boots. Overtime, he will grow a brown beard, and his hair will grow out, too.

Background[]

Emmetbio

Despite his brilliant mind, Emmet has always been undervalued and misunderstood by his peers. Seeking scientific challenge - and to get away from his ungrateful job as a chemistry teacher - he signed up for the Astrocitizens Program, hoping this will be the place where he can finally earn the appreciation and respect he deserves.

 Stats[]

Agility: II (Flexible)

Intelligence: III (Brilliant)

Strength: 0 (Wimpy)

Boost: Resourceful [You always manage to get something extra from choices and expeditions.]

Captain's Goal: Make five successful Intelligence attribute decisions.  (Show them what you got and get due respect as a scientist.)

Trivia[]

  • In Scavenging mode, he has the longest preparation time. Emmet will start with 25 seconds before the countdown begins, which gives the player enough time to explore the entire space station to learn the layout and item locations. Due to his 2 points in Agility, he is also quite fast, but not as much as Deedee.
  • If selected as Captain, Emmet will produce 1 of each type of materials everyday (chemicals, minerals ,and power).
  • Emmet can be considered a high-risk character to send exploring due to his lack of Strength (that can level up with specific choices), but because of his high Agility and Intelligence, he is likely to return to the shuttle faster and bring more items than other characters would.
  • He is considered the best character overall due to his high Intelligence and Agility, his useful perk and his scavenging efficiency.
  • Emmet is also the best character to use alone because his resource skill makes up for being unable to leave the ship, he is good at scavenging, his intelligence make him able to easily find a planet and land on it, and his captain goal is the only one that is easy to fulfill alone.
  • If Emmet was chosen as a crew member, died during the run, and the player got a good ending, he will be represented by his glasses being broken.
  • Notably, his perk changed from "Experimental" to "Resourceful" after the Mission: April One update. Since he now produces far less resources daily, it was most likely changed to make playing as him more challenging and balanced.
  • There is a chance that Emmet Ellis may have a family, but this is most likely not true. Because if it was Robot Gentlemen (the creators of 60 seconds and 60 parsecs) would most likely have stated this at one point.
  • It's better not to leave him weak, insane, or both. Because everybody's skills are lowering down (or up) with conditions. Insanity slightly puts down his intelligence, while being weak decreases agillity (and strength if its leveled up).
  • One of his friendship and rivalry events reveals that when Emmett was a child, he grew up in a small town and was bullied by the children around him.
